Terms for Gärdsmygen
Version 2026-10-08
1. Parties
Gärdsmygen is provided by the provider (named before sign-up opens), the provider. The agreement is between the provider and the housing co-operative that signs up, the association. Whoever signs up the association confirms that they are on its board and may enter into the agreement on its behalf.
2. The service
Gärdsmygen is a workspace for the association's board on the web and in an app: mail to the board as cases, meetings and decisions, the year's tasks, the finances to review, the association's documents, registers and handover. Each association gets its own address, and its data is kept apart from other associations'.
Gärdsmygen prepares drafts and suggestions for the board. The board reviews, decides and sends. Gärdsmygen never sends or pays anything on its own. The suggestions refer to the association's own documents and are not legal advice.
3. The free period
Gärdsmygen is free for 60 days from the confirmed sign-up. It costs nothing and no card is needed. Two weeks before the period ends the association gets a letter about the price and how to continue. If the association does not continue, it can read and print its data for another 90 days. Then the data is removed, after a reminder.
4. Price and payment
The price follows the price list (https://gardsmygen.se/en/priser) when the agreement starts. Gärdsmygen is invoiced one year at a time in advance, with 30 days to pay. VAT is added. The agreement renews one year at a time; the provider gives a reminder 60 days before renewal. The price can change with 90 days' notice, at the earliest from the next renewal.
5. Ending the agreement
The association can end the agreement at any time; it ends at the close of the paid period, which is not refunded. The provider can end the agreement with 90 days' notice, or at once if the association materially breaches it, for example by not paying after a reminder.
6. The association's data
What the association puts into Gärdsmygen belongs to the association. The provider processes personal data on the association's behalf under the data processing agreement, which is part of the agreement. The association can have a copy of its data when the agreement ends.
7. Operation
Gärdsmygen and the association's data run and are stored in the EU, in Frankfurt. Help with drafts is off from the start. An administrator can switch it on for the association under Settings and switch it off at any time. When it is on, the text of the case, a board member's question or wish, the meeting's details, year planner entries, the text of files read in with Flytta in and excerpts from the association's documents are processed by Anthropic in the USA when a board member uses it, and the text of every new letter as it arrives if the administrator has chosen that too, after personal identity numbers, email addresses and phone numbers have been replaced. When it is off, no text is sent there and the suggestions are written with Gärdsmygen's templates; see the data processing agreement, section 5. The provider works to keep Gärdsmygen available but does not promise uninterrupted operation. Maintenance is preferably done in the evenings and at weekends.
8. Liability
The provider's liability is limited to what the association has paid in the last twelve months and does not cover indirect loss. The board is responsible for its decisions and for what it sends from Gärdsmygen.
9. Changes
Changes to the terms are sent to the association by email at least 30 days before they apply.
10. Law and disputes
Swedish law applies. Disputes are settled by the general courts of Sweden.
